A high availability of the furnace plants is of utmost importance for a profitable business. This can be achieved by a reduction of repair time and by an extension of the refractory campaigns. In order to reach these goals, Lungmuß Feuerfest has developed together with its customers specific products and prefabricated parts for the lining and the repairs of the furnaces.
The realization of the new lining concepts is carried out as a full service package: The templates are designed and produced in the in-house construction department. The lining of the prefabricated parts in the prefabrication department guarantees an optimal lining by low water addition and homogenous densification. The components are dried in a convection oven. The on-site installation is made by Lungmuß technicians in order to ensure optimal performance of the refractory.
The products are characterized by a simple and stable construction (without cast steel angles). A special coverage reduces damages of the joints. In addition, the effective heat capacity is increased and heat losses are reduced by an improved isolation.
A high availability of the furnaces is guaranteed by short lining and heating-up times. Furthermore due to the exchange of components the intermediate repairs are quick and easy.
Therefore the risk of work accidents is reduced by reducing the repair times.
Beside the technical and organizational benefits, Lungmuß Feuerfest also offers its customers cost benefits: The administration efforts are reduced as the complete service is carried out by Lungmuß Feuerfest. Cost-intensive cast steel angles are not used. Energy costs for the drying as well as for the operation can be reduced as the new lining has an optimized energy balance. As a result, durability, plant availability and plant efficiency can be increased.
